Mission Team: Ana from Spain & Tina, Paloma and Carmen from Germany
It is incredible how one falls in love with this place and its people in only a few days. Their overflowing love, generosity and hospitality made us feel as part of their family and we enjoyed every minute spent with them.
We had raised funds before coming to be able to provide for some of their needs. Shalom needed daily supplies and a laptop, while surprisingly for us, the children’s wishes were school books.
We have seen how God is using Mama Warra to provide, educate, raise, care and love these grateful and joyful children. They grow up knowing and experiencing God’s love and provision for the poorest and therefore have great dreams for their future. Thanks to sponsors, some children are even fortunate enough to receive a good education.
At the end, we all left with tears and a strong will and need to come back. In the meantime, we will do everything possible and impossible to raise funds for many of Shalom’s waiting list projects (click here for more information on projects).
