Lighthouse International Missions e.V. is a non-profit organisation based in Germany. The heart of the NGO is to be a light of hope and love to those in need. The Lighthouse Team is a small group of people who fell in love with the children of Shalom orphanage in Tanzania and wanted to find a way to support them.

After visiting for the first time in 2018, Mama Carmen was touched by the love and work of the orphanage. She learnt about their situation, lack of support from the government and the hardship of orphans in a country struggling with poverty and unemployment. This awakened the desire in her to help the children in a way that would impact their future – Education.
Our main mission is to support children from Shalom Orphanage to have a good education and improve their quality of life. This is being accomplished in three ways:
- Education Support through Sponsorship Programm
- Construction & Renovation projects to improve the orphanage´s infrastructure
- Projects to help Shalom become more self-sustainable
All of our members are volunteers and 100% of all donations go directly to the children. Our work is always in close communication with the orphanage and our local team members to help in the best way possible.
